BRIEFING<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For our final project of year 1, we were able to choose between four different areas of interest. I\u2019ve always been envisioning myself as an industrial designer who creates meaningful products for the end-consumer, therefore I chose the area \u2018Enterprise\u2019. All participants of this project got the task to develop, design and sell an ethical gift in the shop of the Wellcome Collection. Each gift needed to oblige to the Wellcome Trust\u2019s ethos and take one of its three main research interests into consideration: mental health, infectious diseases and \/ or the intersection of climate and health. By adding \u201creal life constraints\u201d to this project like budgeting, quantity, limited time or materials, we got a first glimpse into working for a business or starting a business on our own. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Idea<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SCENTSES<\/strong> is a symbiosis between visual and olfactory stimulation \u2013 realized in a combination of mobile and essential oil diffuser. It aims to bring the owner\u2019s mind and body into perfect balance, like the mobile should be at all times. By improving well-being, SCENTSES<\/strong> is aligning with the Wellcome Collection\u2019s exploration of human\u2019s engagement with themselves and the world around them.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
